Anyone know where pole will be? I suspect it will be on the outside of Abbey (the racing line) but there's no confirmation yet, I take it?

Only _ONE_ DRS zone now... Oh dear FIA...
Why oh dear FIA? Its a good move, thank god there is only one zone!!! It is totally flawed having two DRS zones with only one detection point.
"Oh dear" because they had (almost) confirmed two drs zones for silverstone.

Perhaps journalists had speculated in the absence of facts as they always do, then readers assumed there was some basis in fact?

Personally, I've always assumed the DRS would be either 1 or 2 for every track until FIA get around to doing some calculations and confirm the arrangements at the event.

I thought the 2 zone arrangement was intended for street style circuits which do not have a long enough straight, hence very unlikely for Silverstone?

A little more clearer view of the elevation change at the pit exit:

The sunken pits is no surprise - the "flat Silverstone circuit" is actually sloped down towards Stowe and Club. The pit lane has to be level so the only way to do it is to make the pits sit in to the slope.

I wonder how limited the view in to the pits will be from the grandstands opposite. Normally one would expect to see something of the pit stops etc. but with this design lots of the grandstand seats won't see passed the prat perches...

HELP! By the time the race starts, I'll be somewhere just east of The Middle of Nowhere, Texas. I'll be in a rented car with XM radio. Anyone know if the race will be on any radio station I can pick up?

Hamilton trying to do some aero tests on slicks, which is obviously dangerous in these conditions. He concentrates on straigths, taking corners as safely as possible.

It's actually possible to do pole on the in lap? It's faster to go through the pit-lane, and the start line is quite close to the pit entry.

If it were possible I'm pretty sure Charlie would jump on that and disregard that lap time.
