hoping for a wet race, make it even more unpredictable.

Hamilton will be strong, usually is after a disappointing gp
Red Bull off the pace
Alonso i'm not sure where he will be. 3rd behind the two mclarens would fit the bill in my eyes
Kimi could make the mix depending if they bring the device and it works

Hoping absolutely not for that, as it will be predictably swung away from McLaren and towards Ferrari.

Thankfully the race isn't this weekend; I move in for Uni :P.

The Ferrari is indeed a rain monster.

Sounds pretty sweet to me!

I would love a wet race. Full wets around Suzuka would be, to use a terribly battered Internet adjective, epic.

Not only Ferrari, Mercedes and Williams could be quite fast too.

Rain races in Japan use to be tremendous.

I hope that at least free practice is dry. Maybe wet quail. Maybe wet race. But I don't want quali and the race to be both wet!

Why not? its funny.

Anyway, as you have said, I prefer a dry Friday in order to check different setups and long runs pace.

The problem with wet fridays is that teams can choose to not go out. Like in FP2 i believe in SPA?

Hardly anyone went out, but in Qualifying and Race if it rains, tough luck :)

On what site I can see the TRUE and ACCURATE weather forecast regarding Suzuka ? I've been through 3 sites already and they all show different temperatures and rain probabilities.

Chances are that's due to the race being 12 days away :).

But to answer your question, Accuweather is typically a decent website.

Weather forecasting in temperate regions like Japan/Britain is near impossible 10-12 days ahead. You won't get a true and accurate picture until at very least 3 days before the race. Even then there's still scope for significant error, generally not in the what will happen department, but in the when it will happen department. I.e. they'll be able to say something like a low pressure with rain bearing fronts in it will pass over, but the exact time of the front passing overhead won't be accurate.

I always check JMA for weather. It's the most reliable source in japan.

The rain is the last thing I want in Suzuka. The race starts at PM3:00. If it rains hard and the start is delayed, we would see only 1 hour race, at worse, no race at all. It gets dark around PM5:30 here. #-o

That area is always around 30% give or take chance of rain at this time of year, that's the best estimate I can give you until Tuesday of next week. 8)
