I got one foot in the MotoGP door, you know that place where they haven´t forgotten what it means to go racing on weekends.
´14 is a bit of a do or die season for me in terms of my future F1 watching.
But it is double sided, it takes away from the races before that as they make less sense. Especially if it's one week double weekend.tim|away wrote:For the audience, and therefore business, it is desirable to determine the champion as late as possible - preferrably in the last race. Doubling the points of the last race would certainly leave the outcome of the championship open for a bit longer, even if the season is being dominated by one driver. It is artificial, but it will keep the audience excited for longer whilst the money keeps flowing.

Maybe we'll see an unusual amount of DNFs at Interlagos.dragosmp wrote:I was thinking about the reliability aspect of this new rule. Usually at the last few races the engines being used are getting close to the end of life. Next year the reliability is a big issue for the teams, so I'm curious how they're going to manage the parts. You don't want tired engines or partly demagnetized rotors at the race that provides double the points.
No. There should be a contest among the fans (via sms or facebook likes) and drivers will get additional points based on results.xpensive wrote:Here's another idea;
Skip qualifying at the last race and form the grid in reverse order from the point standings, that should spice things up a bit?
I've always been a fan of the old running start at Le Mans, how about xpanding on this and let the drivers dash fromtimbo wrote:No. There should be a contest among the fans (via sms or facebook likes) and drivers will get additional points based on results.xpensive wrote:Here's another idea;
