The long run pace is looking odd. Merc, RBR, Williams and Force India, all are doing a start lap of 1:22.6 - 1:22.7 range and ending in 1:23.xxx. Ferrari is doing 1:23.1 start and ending in late 1:23. So, there is something not clear here.

Surely that can't be the way. On the hot laps, almost all cars are going too wide on the last turn reaching start/stop line, whereas Mercs aren't really pushing so much there. It must be said at this point that, ban on FRIC has done some TRICK.

I think we are seing something like last year when Mercedes has AMAZING qualifying speed but then when they would run in the race they would just die down.... i mean i bet we see Ferrari slower during the race then quali. So maybe RedBull can qualify better this race. and if they dont loose too much ground during the race. Maybe they can take a podium a strong podium i mean if they can get a better quali then the Mercs and sustain a strong race pace. im just think about this posibility if they can qualify better and have a similar race pace. atleast better then the Ferrari engines. I think RedBUll can do good.

331km/h fastest Williams in speed trap.
321km/h for fastest Red Bull.

10km/h difference when someone is on your a*s is not going to be good.
And they have like 2,5 corners to try and get away from them with two solid straight between the corners.
This is with slipstream. Real difference is more like 15-20. If anyone catches even a glimpse of tow from any of the RBs, they'll be dusted down the straights.

If we see some lift and coast in Germany, someone should call Jean Todt: "Boredom? I don't see it, and most of all I don't see anyone lifting the throttle in the races in order to save fuel." :?:

Hmm if you blink or cover your ears at the right time you might miss any problem. Soon enough 80% of drivers will be jockey body type sons of former drivers and mediocre Red Bull proteges = fairly shallow talent pool. I guess Todt missed that as well.

Edit: I thought Merc banned sand-bagging and playing games in FP?

I hope Rosberg can still get out there or he may be starting at the back for the race

I predict ham in 2nd place by lap 10 at the latest. Nothing to see here, move along. Just a hiccup.

Make a guess:
How many laps will Ham need to go to P2?

My guess:
5 in the first lap, then two per lap? So lap 10 for P2?

By the way: One can see heavy brake dust on the right side. Brake disc broken?

Merc reliability officially screwing lewis out of this championship atm. Also bit distasteful to see lauda and wolf sharing a joke not a few mins after.
