Yes, I know. It's another theory that attempts to justify the appraisal that Mercedes somehow leads the field in every single aspect of performance.

There are only so many ways to point out how such reasoning is terminally flawed, and I've gotta believe I've exhausted them all.

Just be glad your favorite team designs its cars according to what it knows is appropriate rather than what you think is appropriate. Otherwise, it would be designing Ferraris.

Ferrari are being assisted by Mercedes!
Well... Marko said so, must be true.

Anyhow, its been a blast. My view remains that Mercedes, while still having an engine advantage, are as good as the best and likely the best at 90% of venues PU extracted(impossible to quantify).

Theirs is a complete view of the calendar, rather than a niche and it reflects in their chase for stability.
They go longer and harder than anyone else. Qualities frankly, I wish I still had...

Its interesting too that while this was being written, I had the idea of Mercs customer teams...

Williams with their low speed traction issues, and Force India being generally slowest in a straightline of the Mercedes powered teams.

Williams dont have as much aero prowess as Mercedes, nor does their car use the tyres as well.
Force India's car, at times...I'll quote Wolff... looks like its doing a handstand.
But at certain aero tracks has the measure of the Williams.

Just more food for though...

There's going to be some surprises this weekend. I think it'll be as close as Monaco was.

There is an article that "experts believe" certain PU produce more power(up to 30hp) in one car, then they do in the other.
Apparently it was Newey who first said it's down to the fuel.
Obviously we are not talking about Renault.

Of course, as bhall's post from last year was saying, the two go hand in hand.

Well, Ricciardo is optimistic about his chances.
motorsport.com wrote:When asked by Motorsport.com if he believed he had a race win in him before the end of the year, Ricciardo said: "I think so. I don't believe in much, but if there is a little bit of Karma or whatever, I'd like to think I will get my Monaco win back somewhere.

"Singapore is a track which I will look to. I don't expect to be handed a victory, absolutely not, but I feel if I work very well across that weekend then it should provide me with a chance. So Singapore is the one I am looking at."

Expect Vettel to hand Raikkonen a decent caning on this track!

There is no mystery. Mercedes tried to "ham-bug" (i know ,right lol) Hamilton last year and they changed to an experimental suspension on the cars in Singapore. Such short memories people have!

Cannot say that on Vettel's current form. Vettel canes Kimi and Max canes Vettel !! Chances are that 3 of them crash each other out in the very first lap with the way things have progressed over the season.

Only hope is if Ferrari can secure the front row. Some magic fuel and extreme hot humid weather for Singapore. [-o<

Would be good for the morale of Ferrari (and Vettel) and take off some pressure. But I fear it will be another boring Mercedes 1-2.

Very hot temperatures could help Ferrari and damage Mercedes so lets hope for a super hot weekend. I still hope to see Sebastian on the first row, but the battle Mercedes-Red bulll-Ferrari will be epic!

Of course there's one variable that completely different this year: ultra soft tyres.

So far this has actually been pretty good for Mercedes' competitors - Ricciardo pole in Monaco, Vettel very close to pole in Canada - but Mercedes might have faired better on softer rubber even last year.

Would be nice if it was closer than usual; I'm predicting a 2014 type thing where it looks and is closer, but ultimately Mercedes still out front.

Ferrari will be nowhere near Mercedes/Red Bull. The question is whether Mercedes can challenge the Bulls.

The 'on current form' comment is hilarious!
