Written win for Mercedes.
The rain is coming down just for the qualy session, such as in hungary.
Easy 1-2.
Bottas will easy recover from the back, with his new PU update and many SC called.
It's rather cold for the time of the year, which is better for the Merc than the Ferrari.

As the weeks goes on, forecast has changed slightly to predict less rain around the time of qualifying.

Currently, Sunday is forecast to be dry. Will all depend on what happens with weather around the time of Q2 and Q3. If it’s just a few showers might not require inters or wet tyres. I have a hunch it might not be that wet for qualifying.

Will be very interesting either way. Looking forward to see how the new power units shape up.

It'll be dry. Last rain during race here was 8 years ago. If F1 wants a wet race they should move the slot to september, much higher probability for rain.

It was quite cold in China and Merc was half a second down on Ferrari. I know, different tracks and tyres but still Ferrari got along very well.

- Racing Stroll Force Point Not India :wtf: ? No confusion there at all.
- Another semi-normal team bites the dust. Pushed Fernley out immediately.

Danny Ric having car troubles and yet to drive more than the installation lap. And RedBull were surprised he decided to jump ship to Renault...

Just over a second quicker in FP1 than last year. Presumably we'll see pole time being a similar improvement over last year too - so a low 1.41 this year maybe?

Porsche's "record" should be broken by a regulation-compliant car rather than a "special".

I couldn't hear the wastegate opening sound on the Ferrari. Though, I think I heard it once, but I'm not sure. Was ist just me? It must be told that it was spanish TV with the commentators talking without a break and background sound being bad. :)

Btw., AMuS telling that Spec 3 of Mercedes gives them a 0.25 sec improve per lap.

Are the new 3.0 spec PU run in FP1 or just from FP3 onwards ... or they run them since FP1 but only in a conservative mode?

Right now, Ferrari with an edge on the straights, Mercedes a little faster through the middle sector.
