Aston Martin AMR25

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Same front suspension as last year, the Redbull V-suspension should reduce drag as the guy in the post says
Alonso has said the car is mechanically the same as the AMR24. Does this include the rear suspension too?

There was a snippet at the end of season test with Mercedes mechanic/s admitting the rear suspension didn't ever work as intended and was indeed a problem.

Any confirmation that AM are still using it?

All we can do is see it's different. Better? We have to presume they wouldn't have changed it to make it worse but it happens!

It used to look more like McLaren's

This looks really similar to RedBull’s “hotfixed” Baku diffuser last year on the RB20, which in turn was heavily inspired by Ferrari’s diffuser on the F1-75 in 2022 :

Think you get a better Idea of what it looks like from underneath ....

AMF! are obviously trying to keep the 2 sides separated longer.

Yes and it's been done before as I pointed out. RedBull brought it as an "upgrade" in Baku last year to make their car a little more predictable :

A change which was inspired by Ferrari's early floor back in 2022 no doubt (refer to the first image I shared).

Well EC is common knowledge he was working for AMF1. Ferrari took him to court to stop him, That’s my understanding anyways.

I was referring to AN but I don't know.

They have removed the tiny wing under the rear light, I notice in the last picture.
