Which is a matter of perspective. A great day from my point of view as it came together with Audi winning Le Mans 1-2-3.

Where did all these mexicans come from all of a sudden? well I've been asking that for the last ten years in Miami.

Great job Mexico, they might have to be my carribean team to root for.

The african teams are really playing quite poorly, very dissapointed, while the far asian teams are playing great.

Except for Ghana every african team is on the ropes semi-concious, not good

Germany lost 1-0 and had a player sent off. Never saw that one coming. Good job by Serbia though. =D>

England v Algeria at half time is still goal-less and the ITV1 commentators and half time pundits are so negative towards Algeria who are playing really well.

I think algeria contained England more than anything.
I dont think they outplayed England, more they didnt allow England to play.

Dissapointed really as its good to get the home crowd buzzing here in Southampton.
Ho hum... :oops:

Can i just say that my club team has just had 2 of its players thrust into the limelight today, Mo Edu for the USA with a disallowed goal that was disturbingly like one he scored in one of the most intense matches in the club game, the Old Firm, last season.

As for the England game, the Man Of The Match to me, was the guy who i decided to buy his countrys top to wear for the world cup, the man who had Rooney, Heskey, Cole, Defoe and any other Englishman who came his way, Maijd Bougherra.

Sorry to be gloating with some intent, but when it comes to my teams players, i am slightly fanatical, like most football fans in this glorious city.

I have heard Glasgow called many things, but never glorious! :lol:

But seriously, it was a good game.

And Germany loosing was a huge surprise.

Theres always a first time for everything. Heres a list of famous Glaswegians;

Without us, Man Utd wouldnt have had near on 20+ years at the top with Sir Alex. Not to mention Kenny Dal at Liverpool and a good few others.

Aye, there are a fair few famous Glaswegians - quite a few more than Aberdonians!
