Tried to run a sim yesterday and it was sat on the second simulation for a good half an hour.julien.decharentenay wrote:Hello everyone. I just wanted to check on how occfd is going for you guys. Matteo is reporting some issues with occfd on Windows and I am wondering whether these may be associated with the Windows version of openFoam (or version 2.1.x). Does anyone has an opinion?
No experience with it, but I can try. What should I do to run OCCFD with it?julien.decharentenay wrote:There is an openFoam version 2.3 of windows at http://www.cfdsupport.com/download-open ... ndows.html Does anyone has any experience?
I don't think that OCCFD will work with openFoam 2.3 due to some minor changes in dictionary keywords. It is nothing dramatic, but I just need to twik things here and there (same as between 2.1 and 2.2). There is also the question of how the above version installs and how would OCCFD identifies it and appropriately call it.CAEdevice wrote:No experience with it, but I can try. It seems that with OpenFoam 2.2 a quality geometry check feature was introduced in SnappyHexMesh, do you think it could be useful?
@LuPi I decompressed all three files from KVRC rules and parts and put them on dropbox. The parts are available in both SKP and STEP format, so it should not be an issue. You can view and download from https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v29uwtrcz0hu ... IeHWa?dl=0 (hopefully). Let me know when you are done and I will delete the folder.LuPi wrote:Would someone be willing to decompress the khamsin files and send them to my email, or something.
I'm on a loner computer, and can't unzip... I'm using OnShape which accepts STEP I'm not sure about SKP.
There is some information here: https://sites.google.com/site/snappywik ... exmeshdictjulien.decharentenay wrote:I don't think that OCCFD will work with openFoam 2.3 due to some minor changes in dictionary keywords. Do you have a link on the SHM quality geometry check?
