Mark Webber won his second Monaco Grand Prix in three years after starting from pole and not making a single mistake all through the race. It wasn't however easy, the next 5 runners finished within the next 6 seconds. Nico Rosberg was closest as he finished second while Fernando Alonso completed the podium in third place.
I actually found this race quite exciting, even without the DRS-assisted overtaking we saw in previous races this year.
With regards to the first corner incident, I think it was just a racing incident, as 4 cars attempted to go into a bit of the track that can only fit 3 cars. If anyone could post a replay it would be much appreciated. As for Maldonado it looked like he was an innocent victim on this one.
As for the Pirelli debate, i thought this was actually one of the few races where you couldn't blame Pirelli's tires, as:
1. Vettel showed that one could push the tires even after many laps if one wished so.
2. The argument about saving tires is quite contradictory with the fact they all went for 1 pit stop, therefore they all had more tires in the garage to use if they so wished. Given the times they achieved in quali and how many laps they managed to pull out of the super softs in the race I think they all had the option to go for a 2 or even 3 stopper and push really hard if they so wished.
3. The argument about them cruising does not hold true, at least compared with previous years' race results from this track:
4.Based on all these I think it was mostly down to the fear of rain and the teams' playing it "safe" with the strategy, plus some possible complacency from the top drivers with the positions they had. Everybody at the top had reason to hold position and avoid any risks:
Webber: of course
Rosberg: 2nd not bad for the championship, happy enough to stay there
Alonso: 3rd was the original target
Vettel: 4th was probably one up from what he had hoped for starting from 9th
Hamilton: 5th would keep him close in the title chase given he seemed unable to push any harder, whatever the reason
Massa: 6th was like a race win for him compared to his previous results this year!

just been replaying it ; grosjean was already beside alonso who pulled left to try and overtake hamilton who was slow away ; 100% alonso's fault ; no way grosjean could get out of the way
No it wasn't. Davidson is always critical of the Ferrari's. You can see below GRO had room towards Fernando. It was a racing incident.

What that ignores though is that he was only there because Fernando had just bumped him over there

These pictures are later when the move was made that triggered the crash. There wasn't much gain as there was no chance to pass Hamilton from outside that far and that close to corner. These things happen in a blink of an eye.

In Grosjean's defence you can see Alonso has pulled out without ever being able to get alongside Hamilton. So his move was ultimately unnecessary.
