How are going Mercedes's long runs comparing to others teams?
Sainz

Lewis

It seems Sainz has done a long run with a lot of fuel.

I'm not saying they are, just saying no point reading too much into times yet. Trends yes, times no :D

C4 is easy 1s faster. Forget pirelli's estimates, its clear on track cars behaviour is night and day when they switch from C3 to C4.
1 second between hard and medium, maybe between medium and soft. Never between soft and supersoft. It has never been the case in the past.

Pirelli official claim is 8 tenths.

They have that fast lap by LEC as being on a C5 now.

Seems like Leclerc is still looking for the optimal setup. Going out for push laps and then in again. Some work on the front suspensions just finished as I’m writing this.

I actually thought it was. Looked like not enough red for the C4 which carries the red banding whereas C5 is just red text

There several figures circulating. I have read somewhere that Isola hinted at 0.5-0.6.

I'm almost certain it had the red banding on it.

~0.5 sec to Red Bull seems accurate right now.

Sainz's morning lap must've been a blinder.
Offsetting for better track conditions today and softer tyres, Max' C3 lap from a few minutes ago is still not as good as Sainz' C4 29.9 lap, which itself was quite a relaxed lap without any corrections and pushing the boundaries. No one is still close to the limit.
I think those were used C3's on VER, weren't they? And they just listed Charles fast lap as being on a C5... is that correct? I thought it was a C4. His current lap, also on softs is not faster than his previous :-s
