Congratulations to CSR very impressive results.

Just a quick question on the last results. my car seems to have a rather large variation on the COP
cop@100mph =2.78
cop@180mph =1.69
cop@100mph 3deg =1.75

That is quite a difference should the cop@100mph be 1.78?? if so would the lap time not change?

congrats to CSR on winning the challenge. Impressive car all the way through

look forward to next year now, will be interesting with the new rules

on a side note, where and how do you get that graph which shows along the car length where the downforce and drag is? like the one on the results page. quiet a valuable tool

Congratulations to CSR for outstanding design for KVRC challenge.
Thanks KVRC team for this great competition. I have a lot of fun and learned a lot.
... and one question about Silverstone results.
From result here: http://cfdgallery.s3-website-us-east-1. ... JJRRacing/
I calculated ClA = 3,048 and CdA = 1,431 for my car at speed of 100mph and in table from official results are: ClA = 1.624 and CdA = 1.254. So something looks like to be wrong in this table.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot for spotting the errors in the table - you are missing nothing. The corrected table with Cd and Cl is shown at: http://www.khamsinvirtualracecarchallen ... ne-gp-2013

Just a quick comment on frontal area. It is a reasonably complex things to calculate accurately (which we are not doing). The drag and downforce figures that we are reporting are Cd.A and Cl.A (where A is the frontal area)... In other words: F/(0.5*rho*U*U)

Indeed: it's been 2 months and a half since the last (vague) communication...
I am building my model anyway, so, Astra, we could make a 1VS1 in case the new season doesn't start

Hi Gents,

There are "plans" to get a second season next year - but these are (from my perspective) very sketchy. The main issue is that I am focusing on getting my business off the ground - which hopefully will then allow me to carry some of the costs of the challenge. But if the business plan fails, I will have no money and have to look for work...

Would anyone have some spare cash (or a 50+ CPU cluster) and be interested in sponsoring the challenge?

How about an entry fee?
Would weed out all the teams that say they want to participate, take up a a space and then not race.
