Ferrari 150° Italia

I think they are talking about FEE and flexi wing for sure, not a B spec like it was said. Ferrari's problem has got more to do with tyres in my opinion, when tyres don't work nothing more work, they'r instable front end has got more to do with the lack of grip than the lack of downforce, maybe they should try some new suspension first before they follow the flexi route.

A similar article came out last year, either about Ferrari or McLaren. I can't remember which.

According to this article, it was said by Domenicali himself :
"He said in La Stampa: “We have a deadline. Now we go to Shanghai where we must decide whether to continue with this aero package or change direction.”

So it's probably not just a theory of some journalist...and I'm puzzled just because of that...He clearly points toward aero problems, and not mechanical/suspension, which is uncharacteristic for Ferrari.

Every year the same, as soon as Ferrari are not winning, there's talk about the famous "plan B"! Of course they have to change things to get rid of the problems, but they way media portraits it is like they have a whole new concept car waiting in the garage!
The speed of Ayrton Senna.
The mind of Alain Prost.
The dedication of Michael Schumacher.
The determination of Alex Zanardi.

I suspect that Ferrari are really going hard at cracking the RB flexi wing code.
I think that may be what Domenicali is refering to when he said:

"We have a deadline. Now we go to Shanghai where we must decide whether to continue with this aero package or change direction.”

I don't think they're so sure about that, they talk about problems about correlating windtunnel results at the track, they talk about aero but i think thy're having dificullties with tyres, my opinion only, based on Michelin/Bridgestone tyre war.

I suspect that "plan b" means a whole new aero update package since the Barcelona update package didn't produce the expected results. Should they still be struggling in Shangai for one lap pace with this "plan a" update expected this weekend, they will probably shelve the Barcelona update and subsequent updates since there is little correlation between the track and wind tunnel.

There will not be a whole new car.

Ferrari will have a few aero updates in Shanghai this weekend, including a new front wing, but Alonso suggested he is still keeping his expectations in check.

Quite interesting that top flap cutout in front of the tyre, probably to limit the effect of the downwash caused by the spinning tyre onto the wing...

And the complex shape of the cascade endplate shows some pretty nice attention to detail.
