I cannot honestly believe he did that… I take it back; That was nothing short of a Champions drive! That pace, to keep the tyres alive… even with Sainz pitting several laps earlier, he still was pulling away.
Maybe this is thanks to the upgrades, and the tests will be at the next few races… but today, Charles made the difference today.
It wasn't actually Mclaren's fault. Norris blew the first lap and then Piastri and Norris destroyed their tires trying to outpace each other. Leclerc sat behind and managed his tires until the end.
