Fraud Norris putting it P1 is not fooling anyone. We all know the engine is in q3 mode and he's hiding nitrous in the cockpit.

Apparently McLaren has the speed both on a single fast lap and in a race simulation. Do Hard and Medium tyres have the same race pace? Or would Lando have been even faster on Medium tyres?

FP1 disaster. Behind a Sauber. Midfield here we come. Hope everyone enjoyed the fun at the front while it lasted!

😁😁😁
I see your comment and allow me to reply equally funny after Q2. Lando Norris and Mclaren will destroy the competition after being more than two tenths faster than Max on the same tyre.

What would he know? I've read enough people saying it was thrown away, a guaranteed win.
I'm just keeping this about the cars Deg, let's move on from that.

Seems like there is still work to be done. Hungary will also take its toll on the tyres.
Oscar's deg looked fine on the mediums

Lando just pushed way too hard at beginning of final stint @ Silverstone
You can't use new mediums on a car not pushing as a benchmark for used softs chasing the win over 13 laps.

Tyres went off because they couldn't be pushed
As Lando said, if we came out ahead they still wouldn't have the pace. I'm sure he did push them earlier, but those tyres were never going to last, period.

Nice? At least 3 mistakes and far from the limits as an example at turn 3 ( but that is kinda understandable as it was just FP2 ). Can not allow that many mistakes during Q3 if we wanna go for pole

By the way, I will note one thing: McLaren used one set of Hard. So in the race they will have two Medium and Hard. The other teams have one Medium and two Hard. Most teams chose the more conservative option in the heat. McLaren apparently has a lot of confidence in the car and went for the more aggressive option.

It makes sense. In the final stint Norris will want to attack usually. Medium will provide enough tyre delta to the hard even at Hungary

With air & track temps being as high as they were, tires are on the edge and it becomes quite difficult to maintain a stable level of performance/grip.

The drivers need to "dance" around it but the standard for what constitutes a good lap changes on such conditions. The lap was quite decent. The rear getting loose on a couple of corners is to be expected on high temperatures. Even so, car didn't seem to snap out of control, which is good.

If conditions remain the same, no lap will be perfect tomorrow.

Mark thinks its advantage Red Bull

One saving grace might be that Lando looked a bit snappy coming out the last couple corners and also discussed the car being on a knife-edge in the post-practice interviews, so there may be more time to come from us as well.
