I am almost sure this one has been answered.
If not it is in the actual error message and in the great instruction provided by HP-Racing:
http://mantiumchallenge.com/installatio ... 6-windows/
They should really help with installing OF on Windows.
But reading the error messages of Windows is interesting. What is "a policy defined at a more specific scope." supposed to mean?
Powershell requires you to set the execution policy to execute foreign powershell scripts. The -scope flag sets the execution policy for that user alone, and not for the whole system.

So while the system setting would still be restricted, for "CurrenUser" this policy has been set differently

I can see the Hyper V as set on the process explorer. And it's a MacBook pro, so no bios to deal with.

Other than that, below it fails to download the tar file, and that did work on my other machine.

Isn't it possible to directly install OF on Mac?

I think so. But how would I use the GUI? Can I do it over the network? Sorry if it's a dumb question, it's my first contact with CFD. I do have this MacBook and my PC workstation on the same network.

Ok, I got HyperV but no Virtualization. Let's see what can I do about it.

I'll have to go with OSX if I'm to use the MacBook as a CFD machine. Any instructions on a dual machine setup?

Would be nice to have it if I try running it on AWS too.

That looks like the error I had (the docker part). I had to do the OF install with a right click -> run as administrator despite being administrator

Had AWS when we were KVRC (different software solution) I used AWS as didn't have the PC to use at the time and it worked out more expensive than running the PC overnight.

well happy with my 5th place, looking at the numbers and it's only the 99% engine power that is keeping me ahead.
I did not have time to test the changes I made to the car but it looks like an improvement over the last race but looks like I lost too much rear downforce.
looking forward to getting the post-processing setup when I get time.

Currently there is a small problem with the post-processing tool. The good thing is that I can reproduce it. The bad thing is that although I have exactly located it and know why it is not working I cannot fix it right now. A shower might help.

The issue should be fixed now and is available for downlaod. If somebody has the time to test it, please confirm if it works or not, thanks.

It works great! I just got a small error that disappeared saying it couldn't find iso_surface something but I can see the picture afterwards.
The only thing that doesn't show correctly is the first pictures where you see the car and its components . For some reason I can only see the suspension components.
I must say this is based on an older run (v0.98c). I will run a new study with v0.98e and see how it goes.

Despite of that the report looks great! I will be of great help.

Ah, I fixed the issue where sth stl file names end with .STL for the main program but never fixed it for the post-processing. I think you are one of the guys using this .STL. MAybe you can try and rename them all in the input_files folder, then recreate the case and then run the post processing tool once more.

And you do get the full report?

The report seems complete. I tried to rename the files and run the scripts again (MantiumFlowMVRCed_win.exe and then MWFlow_pp_win.exe) but same result. I can see the same parts as before. I will try with a full simulation with renamed files.

Sometimes the stl files themselves are very odd. Paraview then does not like them either. You could open every single one in Blender and export them again overwriting what you have. Newer versions of Blender have strange default settings. You have to use "Selection Only" and ascii when exporting. I am pretty happy that it seems to work. On my old Windows installation some stuff stayed black. I guess some 3D drivers or whatever are not up to date.
