They're speedrunning Lindblad's super license points by doing this. He's 12 points off which would only require 3rd place in formula regional Oceania. So my assumption is they want him to be reserve for racing bulls as soon as he can be

As soon as Tsunoda starts giving them a hard time or is on the list of another team they want to cash and have a talented substitute ready. Maybe even to replace Lawson in the summer break if he's awful. Or Hadjar if he is awful. Many reasons to have someone ready asap.
Redbull dont want a teammate for Max that will challange him, they have said it like 10000000000 times, Even Max and his Dad have said the same..... That is why Yuki was not choosen. " to angry to drive for Redbull " is the biggest load of Redbull ive ever heard, Max is the most angry driver on the grid, by a big margin, a person who would rather crash some one out the race than actually compete..

Can already see it, out of most technical meetings, not allowed to set his car up.... only reason Perez was removed was becasue every body in the world of motor sport have been calling for it for over 2 seasons, and it was effecting the brands image ( pressure from Sponsers most likely )

The speed difference between Tsunoda and Lawson at RB was minimal. They're both not great. The wait is for Lindblad.

It depend on track condition, if it become slippery like brazil and vegas then yuki had a clear advantage. Redbull need a second driver that can drive a car thats a little trick to drive, yuki has proven that throughout his carrer he is an instintive driver and highly adaptive. Lawson took longer to reach f1 he need tome to adapt.
