No surprise really however odd given that Brazil is the next race. I would’ve thought with two races left they’d have seen the season out

Not really a surprise that it got cancelled before the Brazilian Grand Prix. Their President had already talked about, or more accurately, bragged about cancellation ages ago. It could have been potentially embarrassing for his government if McLaren turned up with the stickers. They were probably under pressure to ensure it’s all sorted out before the Grand Prix.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Makes sense to me. It was the economy that tanked for them.

Could Mindmaze replace the Petrobras logo for the remaining two races? I can’t say I noticed their name on the car at COTA

Brown said during the United States GP weekend that McLaren would be adding further sponsors for 2020.

That right there is there is the most important part of the article. So we'll be using Castrol now, right?

Well, it's not like they got out cheap. I'm sure it still costed them a lot, it's more promotional. According to Brazilian media they received $10 million yearly, while the rest of the money was intended for development.

We've been using Castrol/BP fuel for the past 3 seasons if I'm not mistaken. Last season with Honda, and both Renault seasons. Petrobas has only been supplying lubricants, which isn't exactly a fundamental component.

Gearbox oil and maybe a few other minor lubricants. Engine oil was still the Same as Renault.

Okay yeah, that's what I thought as well. The part that kinda confused me was when Petrobras said that their stint with McLaren helped them develop better fuels. Don't remember seeing Castrol on the sponsors page at McLaren's website.

Well, Castrol isn't their sponsor.

I agree think they have issues with their guns and bolts and shiit that can be improved. Ferrari have a Very cool gun with a light that switches from red to green confirming it's in.

I wonder if Coca Cola will increase their investment in the team, Red Bull Vs Coca Cola hmmm. Monster is plastered on the Mercedes, all we need is for Ferrari to stick a big Lavazzo logo on the rear wing.

Coca-Cola as a title sponsor/principle partner would be a great coup...however I just can’t see it...their products sell themselves, therefore do they need the cost of the extra exposure, especially in the current climate?
