Piastri might be under investigation regarding the maximum outlap time after Q1 finished. Hopefully nothing happens and he keeps his place as it is a pity to lose his hard earned position from outside factors.

What is usual penalty for that? Grid place penalty?

Palmer says Sainz got pole in Monza and his maximum outlap time was forgotten.

Clean and precise for Piastri, on used softs.

What is the point of that rule though? Is it to stop going too slow on the outlap time or is it after the Q ends?

It's to keep it safe - drivers would go very slow in order to cool down their tyres more and having slow moving cars can be dangerous.

Verstappen mighty again (on used).

Maximum outlap time would limit their speed, not speed them up?

Sorry, I think it was minimum time. Not maximum.

Not sure if I understand the question, lol… a Maximum Lap Time would make sure they don’t go too slow, therefore speeding them up

Personally I never understood track limits or outlap maximum time just as I never understood why they stopped evolving engines, doing tests between GPs, never letting other tyre manufacturers enter and stopping refueling.

Was that on new softs or used softs?
Minimum outlap time. To stop them from going too slow as it would cause more issues when others are on fast laps.

Exactly. It was rhetorical and that was what was being pointed out.

So was Mclaren's time set on new softs or used softs? Also Lewis did a mighty lap there.

Ah yes - maximum time - you have to be faster than that time meaning you can't go too slow.

Was Verstappen on new softs? Both McLarens were on new Softs, but they did set their times a while before the others.
