Whatever they do I expect both of our drivers to give it their all. We must have the 1-2 even after Max gets a 10 place grid penalty.

Mercedes is so lucky. It's been 4/5 last grand prix they have either had weather which have favored them or just benefited from competitors mistakes.

If this was dry they were probably qualifying lower than Ferrari here.

Obviously but I think everyone did that.

I think only outlier is Verstappen with more downforce, thinking he will be able to DRS overtake to the top.

Looks to me like Norris is not confident in the car in these conditions. He was better in Q2 but he complained over the radio that it is too wet at the moment when Russel was improving.

Yeah the rain messed up any chances they had for a pole here. Car not as good in the rain and Mercedes obviously loves the cooler conditions. Will have to be a supreme Q3 to get P2-P3 behind Max, but in any case, race pace tomorrow in the dry should be competitive enough to get through Mercedes & Ferrari.

Mercedes took off all their upgrades. RBR running high DF FP1 wing as well. I think we're the only ones to keep our low DF setup. I think Oscar with more DF than Lando. If we can get in the top3, we should be in great shape tomorrow

They just had poor first laps. As I said, Mercedes has been incredibly lucky with weather conditions lately. Their car just works better on the rain and on generally cooler temperatures.

From team app seems Lando aborted 2 consecutive quali laps in Q2. He need to do Q3 without mistakes if he wants to be up on the grid.

It will be hilarious if Perez manages to get pole. Could end up being good for McLaren if it means they leave him in the car for second part of the season.
