Doesn't sound too promising considering the praise Mercedes has got so far.

I'm really curious to see in which direction they will actually go with the new nose !?mclaren_mircea wrote: Yes they will have it in Melbourne if the nose will pass the crash test scheduled for 10 March 2014. All the chanches that with some little modifications from the composite department, the nose will be on the car in Australia. So, finger crossed for 10 March
From what we've been told it'll look "AWESOME"henra wrote:I'm really curious to see in which direction they will actually go with the new nose !?mclaren_mircea wrote: Yes they will have it in Melbourne if the nose will pass the crash test scheduled for 10 March 2014. I simply can't fathom why they might want to go to a lower nose as has been stated repeatedly.
Shorter? Check.
Different shape? Well conceivable.
Steeper? Possible.
Lower (in the sense of less open area underneath)? What for / why would they want to do that?
Yep im white but what im on about isnt racial stereotyping. Im simply saying that all this attention to this lifestyle, to making a name for himself, is distracting him. It is different with Kimi in which case this was him from the beggining of his career. If something goes wrong with Lewis it will deffinitively affect his driving, but it wont affect Kimi's simply because he doesnt care of what people do , or think about him. 2012 season deserves a praise for Lewis because if it wasnt for Mclaren he would've won that championship and i deffinitively back him up over moving to Mercedes for 2013, but he truly has to get his head together for 2014 because it is the first time he will have the chance after 2008 to really attack for the championship. I apologise if i made someone think that i was offending Lewis racially or something like that.Emerson.F wrote:Typical racial stereotyping from let me guess a white guy? What a load of rubbish. What type of lyfestyle are you on about? You mean this type of lifestyle? (See below) Double standards.elMaestro wrote:All these struggles of Lewis in understanding the car was the lack of mileage compared to Rosberg but also this type of lifestyle in my opinion. He changed alot from his first days at Mclaren with all these bling-bling and this rap star persona. If he thinks of having an alla Schumacher multi winning championship team behind him he should truly try even more at working with the team because no championship is gonna come itself.

Clearly some of you have double standards concerning f1 drivers. In the days of yore drivers like James Hunt where aplauded for reckless behavior. This whole myth about Lewis and the (Bling Bling) lifestyle you claim he lives is nothing more than stereotyping. The only thing bling bling about Lewis are the 4 carat daimonds in his ears and that awesome Pagani 760 LH he had made.
The only 'bad' year he had was 2011 where he had some of his most brilliant wins. 2012 is well documented and going to Merc in 2013 was the most ballsy move in the last ten years from a top driver. 2013 was an adjustment year and he still beat Nico who beat Schumi 3 times in a row.
edit: This is the W05 thread i git carried a way a bit but this myth has wandered around long enough to be debunked.
How do you do that? I don't use a mobile device. I have just posted on another thread where I quoted 2 pictures that had been posted much earlier. One was huge when I opened it as a separate page whereas it had been automatically resized within the thread. So I posted the address of the picture within the usual {img} brackets. Previewing it & after posting it looked fine on my computer. Would that have given problems on a mobile device?dans79 wrote:It does on a mobile device, even a really good one on wifi. The best thing to do is use a small image and imbed that in the thread as a link to the full sized image.SiLo wrote:Doesn't lag for me. Are you kidding us?LightningLewis wrote:Isn't it a bit worring how much more cooling the Mercedes need compared to e.g. the Sauber, the RB and Ferrari? The others just seem to be so much more compact packed at the rear while Mercedes need the HUGE opening at the rear.
Their pace and reliability compared to the others suggest they got it right though. Same goes McLaren, more conservative in regards to cooling, yet has the pace and reliability. As the season goes on they'll both start to trim it away IMO.LightningLewis wrote:Isn't it a bit worring how much more cooling the Mercedes need compared to e.g. the Sauber, the RB and Ferrari? There must be some kind of penalty drag and interference with the airflow?
