Interesting laptimes by Webber, Rosberg's stints were quicker and set on the same compound.

Which laps are you comparing?

I suspect he's talking about the lap Webber just completed on soft and heavy fuel load which were all in the low 1:30s. We all know the RB is quicker than this and I've no doubt Mark was holding back as Rosberg was lapping nearly 1-2 seconds quicker for the first few laps.

Rosberg's first or second stints with Webber's first stint. Most race sim runs we've seen have started out in the 1:30s at Barcelona so I think it's fair to assume both were running pretty heavy fuel loads. Though of course Webber may have been on a used set.

As far i am concerned dont look at times but look at dropoff.

Webber did 8 laps with a drop off of 0.7 sec
Rosberg fist 8 laps off his run 1.7 sec drop off.

but then again tyre life and fuel loads are unknown.

So everyone is again talking about testing laptimes. I think the thing we could interpret is the test program, not the times. Some interesting conclusions can be made.

Mercedes: most laps for today till now. The previous problems with the hydraulics seem to be gone. No burnt bodywork, thats also nice.

Ferrari: Only 50 laps in half a day. When the rumours, that the engineers dont understand the car quite yet, are ture the way to got would be to get more test laps.

Lotus: After missing the last test not many laps till now.

Red Bull: A good amount of laps, everythings seems to be working fine. A very good sign for the first race.

aha , the unmarked tyer mystery unveals :

But here is a bit more info from Paul Hembery on the 'mysterious' unmarked tyres: Each team has been given two 'extra' sets of them for this test. The tyres are basically Pirelli's contingency plan if its facility in Turkey should be struck by a disaster and be unable to make tyres for a race.

They have come from an unidentified facility, and the test here is simply to make sure that they perform exactly the same as the normal tyres. They are identical in compound and structure to the normal tyres.

RED BULL is out of the world when it comes to Tyre Degradation.

In Between Lap 72 to Lap 82 they lost only 0.5 of a second. That is freaking awesome. I have never such Tyre Degradation or Lack of Degradation. 0.5s in 10 Laps. This is OUT OF THE WORLD.

Red Bull are winning in Australia if they have anywhere near the speed as last year.

And some hope for Mercedes. The car is DOWNRIGHT shitty with tyres. Eats it up. Now Steady Improvement. Only 2s loss over 10 Laps. That is better than loosing 3.5-4s over 7-8 Laps.
