If they have unlocked it, then what happened to JB in Spain?

He binned the car in Massenet i believe.
I don´t think he will be cautious, it´s not something you would think about when in the car, in the car it´s 100% pushing.

He will wring the neck out of that Ferrari in Q1-2-3 no doubt about that.
Not sure of the corner name, But I know it was at the top of the hill after the the first corner, the left hand turn before the right.

It was in FP3 2010 that Alonso binned it. He was raring to go - his car was the first one out. I don't remember if it was on his outlap or his first flier, but under braking + turning for the left hander on top of the hill, he was too far out wide on the dust, or maybe just pushing too hard too early (other cars hadn't cleared the dust off yet) and so just understeered into the wall. Montezemelo was predictably not very happy.

First flyer, wasn't it a little damp on the circuit?

Nope. Bone dry, but (as is usual for Monaco) dusty.

Hmm.. I am going the other way. I somehow think Mclaren have "unlocked" the car before their rivals; in qualifying they will be on another planet. Mclaren 1-2 by 0.7 seconds to Merc.
They are going to gain .7 at Monaco. I'l get back with you on that :?
I don't think McLaren have unlocked the car / tyres any more than Red Bull had the previous race. It is pretty clear that Hamilton at least has been the most consistent driver in qualifying though so I'd predict another front row start (teams mistakes allowing). Given his love for the circuit who would bet against him being fastest here?

Also the low chassis should be giving them a mechanical advantage through all these slow corners. Hopefully McLaren will really shine here, but it won't be because they've found some secret with the tyres or car that none of the other teams have found.

Knowing 2012 - any predictions can probably only be made after Q1. I'll stay away from predictions until then

I believe a clearer picture of how Q3 will end will emerge, around 5 seconds before Q3 ends. I think then the grid can look a lot clearer. You can predict the grid with stunning accuracy from 5 seconds out

I can barely make it around Monaco on my Xbox. To think that these guys are doing it for real is beyond my comprehension. I will not speculate as to who will win, but I predict a few dnf's from boundary contacts.
