John Britten was one awesome dude to singlehandedly go up against the huge manufacturers and not only be competitive, but was actually a bike capable of winning races. That's the stuff of legends, in my book. Surely one of the most under recognized racing engineers of all time. Britten was interested in the aero-aspects of roadracing, & his later land-speed machine utilized a `50s style
GP 'dustbin' fairing, of the type banned by the FIM - to keep the 'open wheel' look - still seen in MotoGP today.
