Robert Kubica has marked his first win of F1 careers masterfully and led his teammate Nick Heidfeld to the finish. Coulthard is a well deserved third thanks to a solid drive and a perfect pit stop strategy. Kubica also takes the championship lead thanks to his win.

I twas decided to allow Kimi to kill Hamilton

Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best ..............................organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)
The real issue is if Kimi will get a penalty for crossing the pit out line with a red light stopping them exiting the pits. Surely he broke that rule and must be punished.

well it sounds fair to me (though ferrari fan)
1.in monaco kimi crashes in the back of sutil ruining his race
2.next race sutil crashes, pace car deployed, kimi and lewis rush to the pits, lewis crashes in the back of kimi ruining his race!!!
racing incident, conspiracy or divine intervention?!!!

I just find it hard to believe that at this level, incidents like the pit lane debacle still happen. Especially after how much noise was made by last year with Massa getting black flagged for the same offense.
10 place penalty is exactly what I expected to be honest, although I didnt count on Rosberg getting it since if you watch the replay he is obviously looking at the lights, and it does turn green.
I will have to rewatch it after the kids goto bed tonight to be sure tho, so dont fry me if I'm wrong...
I was honestly pulling for a podium for Nando. It looked like the car was MUCH better with the new suspension bits and low downforce configuration.
Best part however is that we are looking at a VERY possible 5 driver shootout for the WDC this year, and to me that is the best one can hope for.
Lets just hope that there arent any slime to mess up this years championships. For once, I would love to see a scandal free uncontestible championship.
Honest and fair competition is what I crave, I can care less who wins, but a HUGE thumbs up to BMW. Theissen delivers on his promise for the first win in 2008. Lets see if they can use this victory to close that last bit to the front runners so they can win some more without needing front-runner retirements to get there.
And I sincerely hope that Canada gets ALOT of work in the offseason. My suggestion is roller compacted concrete. I have worked with that stuff to build a dam in my area, and let me tell you, there is NO CHANCE that the track would suffer as it did using that stuff, and you can finish almost any texture (smooth/rough) to the finished product.
Good race indeed. I would have liked to see more green flag racing, and less redundant commercials (sometimes 2-3 repeats per break). Damn FOX for ruining a great race for all of the casual viewers in the US. I think that may be the REAL reason of the small interest here. When greed is so apparent in outweighing GREAT RACING most people get turned off. I don't think we got 3 consecutive laps without a commercial until the last 5 laps of the race...
Bernie has it right with the Speed commentators, but damn it, SHOW THE EFFING RACE!
The difference between Kimi hitting Sutil and Lewis hitting Kimi is very easy to see. Kimi was racing on track and locked his rear tires and used phenomenal car control skills and ended up hitting Sutil in a racing incident. Lewis rammed a stationary car parked next to another stationary car. Blatant mistake that shouldn't have been made. Kimis' is excusable for the fact that they were racing each other on track in difficult conditions being wet/dry. Lewis was under no such circumstances. As an avid non fan of Lewis, I think a penalty would be a bad idea. After all he didn't benefit from Kimi retiring and the fact that he looked like a complete idiot makes up for it.
I didn't fall asleep. Probably the most memorable race IMO. Had Hamilton not pulled that stunt in the pits, we would have probably seen BMW pick up a third.
