Totally unrealistic, no feel of the car, seems impossible to spin out.
Even bad graphics and I have a really good top end computer.

It just been designed for consoles.

I was looking forward to playing it after I've just finished my SC Trials and now the holidays have started.

Such a disappointment!
Try adjusting the settings......My first impression was the same. Until I tinkered with the TC and difficulty settings etc
More could have been done.

I agree with JET. I'd tinker with the settings before complaining. Most games are designed for the common person as opposed to the Sim player, so the default will be for common person. Tinker then tell =)

I do agree with Neco FEROX. I knew that it wouldn't be a realistic simulation, but I did expect something good. Tbh the handling is terrible. I know it's not supposed to be a full simulation, but come on... There is absolutely no feeling of speed, the car handles very weird (if the backside steps out, you just stomp on the brakes and you can continue) and the shifting & acceleration is awfull.

I do admit it's got a nice setting. I like the atmosphere of the game, combined with some nice details, but overall it's a disappointment.

The graphics are good and bad. The tracks and al the effects look superb, but ffs the cars look ugly. For those who have Ferrari Virtual Academy, compare both F10... A WORLD of difference.

Does anyone know if they plan to release a WII version of this game.

I know they did a 2009 WII game, but as far as I can work out the 2010 edition is on XBOX, PS3 and PC only?

Yeah adjust the settings. Dont be put off by comments like this. My settings require a lot of focus exiting 2nd/3rd gear corners to avoid spinning. Not had a mega long bash yet but its nothing like as bad as that comment makes out.

I played with all aids off. It seems pretty easy to brake the car, I only get slight locks when trail-braking, or out-braking someone. With the AI set to one before the most difficult I find it way too easy to overtake. I've done only a few laps on a track I don't know and the AI laps faster but way too easy to overtake. With the Force India I went from 7th to 2nd in 2 laps, without penalties.

I find it very easy to spin the car if you start accelerating on top of a kerb, it spins almost instantly, which I find good.

You get penalties for blocking someone when overtaking ( ala Hamilton style) which is agressive but not illegal, which I don't like. I mean, you get the inside line then aim for the outside kerb and the AI doesn't stop, he crashes or you get penalty.

There's a slight bug. If you alt+tab then you won't find no button no get it full screen again, there's no such option. If this happens, just hit ALT+ENTER and it will get you full screen again.

I will complete this "review" as I get more "seat time".

Summary: It's an arcade game, not a sim.

I suppose that I found very was due to the experience had on Race07 (WHICH IS MILES BETTER AS A SIMULATION). I maybe only 16 and haven't even got a drivers license but I still can a clutch and six speed stick very well as well as a very good understanding of the car without aids.

Also games can't have really sharp graphics and be a sim at the same, it can't handle it. That why Race07 has low quality graphics but it's a proper sim.

I just give my firsts laps on it, and IMO is just OK, I expected a lot more but is good.
The only thing that dissapoint me is the graphics, especially the details on the cars and the replays. I think F1CE looks a lot better and no talk about GT5P. Obviusly I'm talking about PS3 version I don´t know if the PC version looks better.

After all, I'm pleased because is good be able to start a career in Lotus, or racing in Singapore's night in a W01 :) .

PC version looks good for me, but I install a mod to have more realistic colors, thanks to a friend.

You can found it here, as well as others mods (camera angle, RPM LED color etc).

I didn't play a lot but this game is more or less what I expected. Not a sim but on the hardest settings without aids, it is pretty correct. A kind of Gran Turismo with formula one (even if GT is incomparable).

Just don't play with the time attack mod which is childlishly simple even with all aids off : I didn't play race game since a long time and I did an 1.21.3 on Hungaroring with an R30 (Kubica Q2 time: 1.20.8 ) even if I made huuuuuuuuuuuuge mistakes. Then I started a Grand Prix : at the beginning of FP1 I didn't do less than 1.26. 45min later I only manage to do an 1.24.0

I think you'll have to explain a little bit more. There is no relation at all between rendering engine and physics engine. Race07 has poor graphics because it lies on GTR2 which is 5 year-old.
But for the next GTR, SimBin can chose to build a great sim with great graphics if they want. Rendering will be only limited by the project's budget.

That simply isn't true - it's just a myth among some sim racers because all the "proper sims" are based on rFactor or another equally old engine.

Played this game the other day. Just started playing in fact.
I don't have a wheel so i have to make to with a controler.
The game is ok, ony thing is that there's no safety car and it's presented a little to british. The menus look boring and the game doesn't have much music.
Aside from that the car spins easily if you use a controller, since the buttons are digital and not analogue; you can't modulate the throttle.
Becuase of this, i have to drive with traction control to prevent spinning. The high curbs are also annoying, the car spins instantly, regardless of the speed you approach them with or which wheel you put on them. For example the last turn at Spa.
The braking is retarded as well, i alway put my brakes on sharp to get a little feel out of it, but i guess the controller is to blame for it.
It would be nice to play this game with a wheel and see what it was intended to feel like.
For Sure!!
