Schumacher cancels comeback, Badoer steps in

Badoer deserves some slack. Remember that his two GP's don't amount even for a week of pre-season testing. Add to that that he didn't race for 10 years and never tested the F60, or any F1 with current regulations, or modern slick tyres, etc.
It's easy to judge someone, but to take some perspective about the undesired effects of the testing ban seems a little bit trickier. Furthermore, it's true that gaps between drivers in F1 seem to be in an historic low.

If there hadn't been the testing ban would he of been on the place? MS jumped back in the car after 18 months out (I no its not 10 years) and set a lap record!
