As for the England game, the Man Of The Match to me, was the guy who i decided to buy his countrys top to wear for the world cup, the man who had Rooney, Heskey, Cole, Defoe and any other Englishman who came his way, Maijd Bougherra.

Sorry to be gloating with some intent, but when it comes to my teams players, i am slightly fanatical, like most football fans in this glorious city.
You lot do have an intense rivalry, but nothing comes close to El Classico.

Celtic - Rangers is top for pure hatred But Barcelona vs Real Madrid transcends even the religous aspect and splits spain.
Spanish blue blood, or Catalan.

As a Figo fan I remember the Barca faithful throwing a pigs head onto the field while he took a corner playing for Madrid( he played for Barca the year before).
One of the banners accused him of playing for money by saying "You would sell your mother....if you knew who she was".

Cutting and funny, very unSpanish.

Just seen the end of the Brazil v Ivory Coast game and it looked pretty heated. Kaka being sent off was clearly wrong. Any opinions?

Yup Keita feigned a facial injury, to get Kaka sent off. An absolute disgrace and keita should be banned for a few games as to make an example of what happens when you play act to get a fellow proffessional sent off.

On a more positive note, Portugal vs North Korea tommorow. A tie that conjures memories of one of the greatest world cup games of all time. 1966, goodison park North Korea smash in 3 goals, enter the black panther EUSEBIO. Boshed in 4 goals and helped Portugal win 5-3....ahhhhhh makes me proud! :D

Kaka hit Kaita with the elbow in the breast. It should have been punished by red card immediately. Some minutes before a clear foul had gone completely unpunished. The referees were completely incapable and clueless.

The arm to the chest didn't look particularly hard. It more like he was holding the other player away rather than hitting him. Feigning an injury is a disgrace. It's about time that video was used in football in rugby.

Kaka was standing while Keita ran into him, how is it Kaka's fault?

As usual the African players/teams are causing trouble when they're losing. Unnecessary roughness and fouling is their way to play the game, what a disgrace. Today I was cheering for the Ivory Coast but after they began their BS I turned my back on them.

Spain vs Honduras tomorrow!
On Univision they called it the match of the losers.

As said on my facebook, that Lannoye referee is now officially the worst of the World Cup :D Kaka had nothing to do, and Kaita should better look where he is going when running.
Anyway, that French referee made a mess of that match, allowing the 2-0 after obvious double hands ball. He can go home together with the French team. Only 3 more days

Anyway, I'm happy that The Netherlands are through! Go Holland ;)

Sorry WB, Kaka could see out the corner of his eye that an Ivorian was running towards him. so he lifted his arm to defend himself. at no point did his arm go out to hit the guy. Watch it again in slow mo and then in real time, the Ivorian player runs into him and feigns injury to get Kaka sent off.

Kaka is a bible bashing christian who has never been sent off for AC milan or Real Madrid. The ref didnt even see the incident nor did the linesman!!!!
They all went on the play acting by the cheating Keita....really bad

I think to be fair, he was watching the ball when this incident happened. But I hope that the sending off is recinded once the match has been reviewed.

I just saw the replay. I think you are right on this one. The referees were so bad. They let several really bad fouls go unpunished. The German commentators were saying that such acts of aggression in a German street would have got the players several month in prison for criminal assault.

It sucks to be French right now, the nonsense going on is a national embarassment.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.
