Ron wanted mclaren to have exclusivity from it's engine supplier, he wanted mclaren to be the "factory team" from the engine supplier's point of view. kinda like red bull is to renault. which mercedes wasn't giving them no longer since they bought brawn gp.

it's the benefit of 100% shared data and so on.

Looking back Ron Should have used Caterham or Marrusia entry to test a second/third car to get more mileage for Honda

I guess he can still do that with caterham running a mp429h with no intention of racing

Thunders:They removed a Part of the Cascade Wing.
If you look at the top insert, the wing paint is shiny on the entire wing. On the bottom one the edges is not painted.

Would this make a difference to the airflow ??

can anyone please confirm ? on which tyres mclaren is running today , autosport says medium while another site says Development. why will mclaren prefer to run development tyres , if they are already into final test , wouldn't it be useful to run actual race tyres to gather as much data in parallel to collecting data fr engine.

This is @JensonButton turning laps in the @McLarenF1-Honda. Looks stable but sounds horrible.

According to AMuS JB did his 7 Lap stint on Mediums. But i think that is better discussed in the testing Thread.

Handling the car with no gloves? No ERS enabled?

Rules are very clear that anybody touching the car must wear rubber gloves, either over or underneath their fabric gloves.

It's strange yes, i remember seeing that yesterday too. The ERS Indicator on the Airbox is red , so they should be wearing Gloves.
