Scuderia Ferrari SF70H

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

That FW may not look much different, but it's almost a complete redesign... This design should provide more front-end downforce...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Regarding the front wing - it looks like they are going the Mercedes route with the large rounded tunnel.

The floor slot has been modified, now it's rigidly fixed on both ends.
I don't understand. Everyone use slots in the floor because holes are forbidden. But Ferrari is asked by FIA to transform a slot in an hole ? Or holes are forbidden only in the rear part of the floor ?

That's a good point... but everybody (STR, RBR, Mercedes, Williams...) has been using fully enclosed holes in that section so i guess the "no holes" rule doesn't apply to that area.

It's very weird...

Before it was not attached, it flexed to much, hence the reason to make a rigid connection creating an enclosed slot.

Correct! I have seen the same thing on Williams FW40.

New floor was introduced in Canads or Baku I think. This was probably reserve set
