Amazing it's been so long that RB won a race here! Well driven by both Verstappen and Perez today.

It seems the RB19 is kind on its tires and a bit slow to warmup. I think that's partially why both drivers had mediocre starts etc.

Seems a common trait - especially this weekend.

Red Bull ran the engine detuned according to this - must be protecting the gearbox and shafts? Max still mentioned poor shifting this weekend, hopefully they can get the issues fixed over this mini break.

It wouldn't be completely unimaginable, remember bahrain where they did something similar? I also noticed in various Q3 telemetry analysis that mercedes was gaining in early parts of almost every straight, only at 290+ and DRS open would RB start to gain back.

They definitely need this break before Baku to try and iron out the bugs. You never know who could be a threat after the upgrades coming.

If we go by last year, RB18 was close to being bulletproof after Australian GP. I hope they are able to do the same again this year.
The issues are not as extreme as last year but i doubt they would be able to fix the downshift issues. It's been there for years now.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

I’m somewhat baffled by the sudden bewilderment from some teams and drivers surrounding RB’s DRS advantage. This point has been noted since very early in 2022. In fact, RB, had an even greater straight line speed advantage compared to Mercedes in 2022 owing to the incredibly draggy W13, and even Ferrari. So Hamilton’s comments in particular are curious. He’s actually closer on straight line speed this year than last year.

I don't think it's sudden, many drivers including Hamilton have been saying it since last year.

I think it's more pronounced though, as the straighline speed advantage RB have is not as big a gap as last year without DRS. It's on the DRS activation where we see a wider margin, which would've been less evident last year.

what do we think about de vries in an alpha tauri almost pushing perez on the grass on the second standing start? I've checked his onboard and it seems at best he's completely oblivious a car might be besides him, or at worst he did it deliberately. can't tell with certainty. Further along haas is also completely recklessly coming across the track. these dudes...

Good on Perez in avoiding 2 potential airplane crashes by bailing out. Definitely something ocon should take note of.

The etiquette from some of these guys at the back of the pack is just embarrassing.
