Q: (Livio Oricchio - O Estado de Sao Paulo) To Lewis and Fernando, Fernando, several times you have said that you love the Singapore circuit, it's perfect for your style and Lewis also loves to drive on street circuits. What do you project for the next race, now you're both fighting for the championship?

FA: Well, we'll see. I think it's a very nice race, very nice atmosphere in Singapore and not only for the race on Sunday. I think from the day you arrive, Wednesday or Thursday, it's a special weekend, you feel it. All the times and everything is out of the normal routine and I think you enjoy the change a little bit more and I think the circuit is quite interesting, very challenging. I think you enjoy driving there. Fans are always very close to us in that circuit as well and I think there will be a nice atmosphere, a nice fight. Personally I hope it will be a good test for us because there are a lot of new things that we will bring to Singapore, so let's hope we can fight for the win.

LH: I second what Fernando said. He's just given us the information, that Ferrari are going to be bringing lots of parts to the next race, so I will go back to my team and push them to...

FA: It's not only Singapore.

Normally Alonso likes to play down updates as much as possible, so it must be quite a significant update.

Either way, i think the traction problems in this car have pretty much been solved now and this was shown by the good pace at places like Monza, Hockenheim and Montreal where traction (and braking) are very important.

It's a rumor, but it seems Ferrari suspect someone could be sabotaging Ferrari.
La Stampa is owned by Fiat, who also owns Ferrari, so what they write about F1 could be considered "Ferrari-approved"
The hypotesis of a sabotage has not been taken in consideration, despite another alarming episode on Friday: the tow truck that had recovered Alonso's car stopped on the track [...]. In its fuel tank was found a rag, that surely wasn't there by accident, even if there does not seem to be a direct link to the Ferrari (telemetry) blackout during the race.

That's Governor of Texas, Rick Perry. Though I suspect he's just on a taxpayer-funded vacation, whatever he's doing in Italy right now, and in Maranello at Ferrari specifically, can't be good. The man ran for president earlier this cycle on a platform based on proudly displaying ignorance at every turn. I'm not kidding about that, either.

"I'm Rick Perry. If you though you could relate to W on a personal level, you're gonna think I'm a long-lost member of your dysfunctional --- family."

He didn't last too long.

Anyone know why he's at the Ferrari factory?

The way you talked about him I was thinking: Rick Perry must be a democrat :p. Glad to see that Republicans also get accused for such things for a change!

Her could be the reason why he is at Ferrari's:

I thank you both. It seems the man is just taking a "vaykayshun" on my dime, well, my former dime. Actually, a lot of my former dimes.

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

I guess during the mid morning in Singapore he thought it be best that he relaxes and plays on a PS3?

Perhaps he is playing F1 2012....or perhaps Battlefield 3...who knows

6 races to go and 29 points between Vettel and Alonso ; judging from the number of points scored in total in 6 races (~80) , this means that Alonso has to earn at least another 50 points to win the championship.

It's more than doable , but he's real advantage is that the Red Bull is fighting with Mclaren for the first places.

+chances to rain in Suzuka and Korea , maybe Brazil.
+Throw in Maldonado.
+Number of engines left.
+Fast starting Ferrari.
+Kimi Raikkonnen.

What a championship....
