Helmut Marko on Perez.
Pérez doesn't need to get faster, just more consistent. And given the alternatives, he is still our best solution. Reports that his continued commitment is due to Liberty Media's desire for him to race in Mexico are not true. They certainly want him to race in his home race, but our choice of driver is not based on Liberty Media's intentions.
On Lawson.
We will announce what happens next with Liam Lawson in September. It has been planned for some time that he would be able to gain more Formula 1 experience in Imola. Even though the competition would like to use him on loan, he is not available for that.

On Daniel
"Daniel was put in the car and if he would have been significantly faster than Yuki there was an idea to bring him back to Red Bull Racing"

"But he also had this up and down. So, so far, he didn't fulfil the criteria to be a Red Bull Racing driver."

Peter Windsor just said a current F1 driver has been doing some WRC testing under "massive secrecy". And he won't say who it is.

Any ideas ? K-Mag ?

After Kubica's accident, I don't buy it. Unless they are talking about Lawson...

My guess is one of the drivers who's out of contract at the end of the season.

I would not rule out Sainz though 😂
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

Marko is ignoring that Daniel was also brought on to help Yuki improve.

Bayer has concurred with Tsunoda’s previous assessment that observing Ricciardo up close has helped the Japanese native to transcend into a more polished driver.

“I see a bit of a broader spectrum in the overall responsibility for the team, this famous big picture theme somewhere: Yes, we have to develop young drivers,” he said.

“But at the end of the day, you can also define that as Yuki is not quite finished yet.

“He has learned a lot from Daniel when it comes to technical feedback, development, exchange.

“He has also learned a lot from Daniel when it comes to emotional control and management, how to structure and plan his weekend. In other words, he is learning.

“We are actually still in the process of perfecting this rough diamond Yuki, with the help of Daniel. Daniel has definitely justified his place in the team.”

Yuki disagrees with you:

https://racingnews365.com/tsunoda-highl ... 2Dtempered.
Going into more detail regarding his positive relationship with Ricciardo, Tsunoda has outlined his "communication" with the Australian as a key strength.

The pair communicating has resulted in an improved car across a Grand Prix, with Ricciardo's technical influence being unprecedented, despite some disappointing results for the Honey Badger.

It is learning from how Ricciardo deals with emotions which has benefitted Tsunoda's career the most though, with him now being able to perform consistently at a high standard after getting on top of it.

"I think we have good communication and we're able to always turn it around in the week, and in qualifying we were able to put it all together as a set up and everything," Tsunoda told select media including RacingNews365.

"So that will, for sure, affect consistency. And I think also he's more of a complete driver in general, like his emotional control, everything.

"For example, last couple of years, I started in a pretty bad position, especially with my emotional control. How much you can be consistent throughout the weeks, and after he became my team-mate, he is very, very strong at that and was doing much better than me.

'For sure, those things I learnt, I got from him which affected my consistency throughout the year, especially my emotional control will affect the performance moods throughout the week. I think just for me, being able to grow race by race from his performance knowledge and everything."

Right but Yuki saying he learnt from Ricciardo is not proof or even evidence that Ricciardo was signed to help him...

Both the CEO and TP of RB are on the record saying that one of (not the primary) the goals they had for Daniel, was to help Yuki become a more complete driver.

I doubt they said these things just to shield Daniel from his slow start to the year.
