Experimental floor and Italian GP wings for Vegas
Very interesting regarding the floor. I believe Vanja pointed out that the Monza floor was quite similar in spirit to what Ferrari was doing with their floor back in 2022 (if I am not mistaken).

Perhaps they might have found a new alley way of potential development from the 2022 concept that was initially abandoned after the TD ruined that car back then.

This new experimental floor might be used to evaluate ideas and potential development paths for next season.

Only one version of the floor has been made, but it notes both drivers plan to use it and give feedback.

The article also reiterates Leclerc will be rotating his current engine stock for the rest of the season.

If they finish the season without engine penalties that would be a first in a very long time I think

So pretty standard for last few races of the season. Use practices to test some ideas for next year
Ferrari will have a specific experimental underlay available for Friday’s free practice, useful for correlating the new 2025 car . For budget cap reasons, being a component useful only for testing, in America there will be only one underlay that, according to the plans, both drivers will have the opportunity to try for a run.
The article also says there will be a new front wing spec with lower drag than even Monza

It also says Zhou is not being considered for reserve driver duties.

I would hope that Ferrari will have an option to call Ollie B up to drive for them if they need a stand in for Charles or Lewis, with Haas then needing to use their reserve driver.

With financial sweeteners for Haas as part of that agreement.

Maybe I'm dreaming lol
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

Russell was Merc's reserve in 2020 whilst at williams, and obviously red bull would use a VCARB driver. So it wouldn't be totally unreasonable for Bearman to be the reserve even at Haas.

Small article from F1.uno (now renamed to Autoracer.it) about Hamilton's transition to Maranello:
  • Hamilton will begin his duties with Ferrari mid-January. His contract with Mercedes expires December 31, and (unlike Ferrari with Sainz) Mercedes did not give their approval for him to deal with his new team earlier, so we need to wait until 2025 to see any movement.
  • Ferrari are preparing something special for his first day, and understand moving teams will be a large adjustment. The focus will be on acclimatizing him to the various departments and figures.
  • He will have both the F1-75 and SF-23 to test at Fiorano, depending on the training plan.
  • Hamilton is expected to bring many high-profile sponsors with him, including Monster, Tommy Hilfiger, and Puma (though Puma also sponsors Leclerc). The rumor that Almave, Hamilton's company, will sponsor Ferrari, is still going strong.
  • The talk about there being potential tension between Hamilton and Leclerc because of ego is unlikely, according to insiders. Hamilton is approaching his new team's culture with humility.

I've enjoyed this season but I'm ready to move on. Very much looking forward to next year and seeing what the Hamilton-Leclerc pair can do :D

It's good Lewis will test both f175 and sf23..Lewis already has unofficial number 1 status.. he brings higher value for investors

There is no number one in Ferrari.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my summary... insiders strongly report Hamilton has no intention of trying to take number one status. Nor does Leclerc. Both drivers understand that being a Ferrari driver means putting your own ego on the burner for the team's sake.

It would be a massive change for the team to pick a clear number one, and even more unlikely under Vasseur's leadership, who is known for being pragmatic.

Just ignore, you have to assume they are looking for a rise.

The number one driver is the one in the championship battle. If Sainz was neck and neck with Max/Lando/another, and Charles was out of it. Ferrari would get Charles to support him. Similar to Piastri at Mclaren this year (albeit belatedly). Max is the only driver on the grid who I don't think would get asked to help his team mate (see Brazil 2022).

HAM is certainly an upgrade over SAI in all departments as far as racing is concerned and that’s the most important bit for the team.

Hamilton is less crash prone than Sainz, but Sainz is a better qualifier now. Like Hamilton said about himself, his qualifying pace is slipping away. I would say it's more of a sidegrade. Hamilton is unlikely to be worse than Sainz but also unlikely to be much better in terms of points. That's fine because if he drives at the same level as Sainz but crashes less, Ferrari will win the WCC...

The real upgrade is the image, experience, and other resources Hamilton will bring with him. I am very excited to see what Ferrari and Hamilton do together in terms of branding. Ferrari (the whole company) already has a solid reputation but having Lewis freaking Hamilton can really elevate it if they leverage him properly.

Also (not directed at you) can people please stop arguing about Russell vs Hamilton in the FERRARI thread :x
