On Friday 26 September, President S.R. Nathan of Singapore will host a charity lunch. Past and present champions of Formula One will join celebrities and invited guests at the 100-acre Istana estate, the official residence of the president.

Bernie Ecclestone has made the lunch an official F1 event for drivers and team managers to attend. The guests of the charity lunch will meet the drivers and take part in an F1 memorabilia auction.

Singapore GP chairman, Teo Hock Seng, commented: "Hospitality events during our grand prix would come no grander than this charity luncheon, where the racing teams will put their rivalries aside and come together for a good cause.

"The atmosphere at the Istana is bound to be one of high anticipation and excitement, especially since it's on the eve of the grand prix weekened."
