Final day of this week's Monza test for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro and the nine other Formula 1 teams. Reigning world champion Kimi Raikkonen took to the track today at the wheel of an F2008. The Finnish driver worked on finding the best set-up for the car for the race that takes place at this track on 14th September, as well as on development of aerodynamic and mechanical solutions for the remainder of the season.

"It was a good day, during which we looked to fine tune the car for this track as well as trying a few new things," commented Raikkonen when the day's work was over. "I would say we have done a good job, even if it is too early to say what the situation will be here during the race weekend. It was a pleasure to meet with President Montezemolo, who visited the track today. Now we have to try and do everything as well as possible to get back to winning again, starting with the race in Spa. The world championship? I will give it my best shot and then we can count the points at the end."

The day in figures is as follows: 79 laps completed, the quickest in a time of 1.23.371.

The Scuderia will be back on track on Tuesday 2nd September at Fiorano, when Luca Badoer will carry out the shakedown of the cars that will be used in the Belgian Grand Prix, which takes place on 7th September at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
