Renault budget increased - Briatore
According to Renault F1 Team Boss Flavio Briatore, the budget of the French outfit will not be affected by the current global financial crisis. Carlos Ghosn, Chief Executive of Renault, is known as a cost-cutter and at the moment, the Enstone-based team would already have a smaller budget than its manufacturer rivals. But according to Briatore, the budget of the team has been increased by 30 or 40%.
Flavio Briatore declared to the Spanish newspaper 'Marca': "Our president has given his full support for the team. It is a very difficult moment for all companies, but he did not hesitate for one minute in increasing our budget by 30 or 40 per cent."
