Taku with Midland?

If rumours come true, Takuma Sato could be coming home to drive for the team that gave him his big break in Formula One. Despite being powered by Japanese Toyota engines in 2006, Midland F1 are looking to give the BAR Honda driver a race seat to potentially partner current Minardi driver Christijan Albers.

Colin Kolles "We are very interested in Takuma. We talked about the issue with Toyota and they are happy."

After an inconsistent season, Takuma is being replaced by Rubens Barrichello. Takuma however would be most welcome with Midland. His rookie year with Jordan started slowly but a 5th place at the Japanese GP cemented him as a talent for the future.

Rumours suggest that there have been talks with a numer of other drivers including the current Jordan drivers along with the likes of Anthony Davidson who tested for the team earlier in the year.
