I felt like a real Formula One driver! - Rossi
Second and last day of testing for Moto GP World Champion Valentino Rossi with Ferrari, yesterday with worse weather conditions, which however didn't have any influence on the celebratory mood at the box of the Scuderia, the Formula One World Champion.
Valentino could only go out on a dry track in the morning, using the according tyres. In the afternoon rain and low temperatures conditioned the test. The Moto GP World Champion didn't get discouraged and went out also on a wet track: in total he drove 56 laps or 257 kilometres. He did his fastest lap in a time of 1.24.04, while his best lap on a wet track was done in 1.33.56. The test session ended just before 5pm, when the visibility was too bad to go on.
"The test went quite well," Rossi said at the end of the day. "Unfortunately I could just go out for a couple of laps on a dry track in the morning, but we also tried it on the wet track. I was impressed and it went well. The car is fantastic and all in all it was a good test. I want to thank the guys from the Team and obviously Luca di Montezemolo and Stefano Domenicali, who were really committed over the last two days. I felt like a real Formula One driver!"
