Santander confirms Ferrari sponsorship deal in 2010
Emilio Botin, boss of the Spanish bank Santander, confirmed that the bank will no longer sponsor McLaren in 2010 but will move to Ferrari as earlier reported. Botin, speaking to the Spanish newspaper 'Diario AS', also declared that he wants to reunite the Santander logo with a car driven by Fernando Alonso.
Botin said: "Santander will be with Ferrari in 2010." Talking about Alonso, the Santander boss said: "Alonso is the best driver in the world and we would like to work with him, but that's not something that depends only on us."
