Hamilton to get statue at Madame Tussauds
2008 World Champion Lewis Hamilton will be added to London's Madame Tussauds' sports zone in 2009. Earlier this month more than 300 measurements and reference shots were taken of Hamilton to create his wax statue that will be put in the popular museum.
Liz Edwards, PR Manager for Madame Tussauds said: "Like the rest of Britain we were all delighted about Lewis's F1 championship win. Although he has only raced in F1 for two seasons his name has been on our radar for some time and we'd already made our decision to include him before his Championship winning performance because of huge demand from our guests. He has undoubtedly won a place in the nation's hearts for his determination and single mindedness and a place at Madame Tussauds for an amazing track record and he is still only 23!"
