McLaren may be another team to set aside KERS
Along with Ferrari and Renault, the McLaren team is also considering taking out their KERS unit for some events. This is only for when the advantage given by the extra power boost is negated, or when there are safety concerns, such as when Kimi Raikkonens unit experienced multiple problems in Malaysia.
McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh explained to 'motorsport-magazine', "Nothing is set in stone. We will not have it in the car if we do not get an advantage from it."
