Whitmarsh writes letter to FIA
Team Principal of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 Team, Martin Whitmarsh, has written a letter to FIA President Max Mosley to apologise for his team's behaviour in the 'lie-scandal' which broke lose after the Australian Grand Prix.
Martin Whitmarsh said to news agency 'Reuters': "We are cooperating with the FIA, I have written to Max, but obviously before the 29th I can't say anything about it. It's a letter to them (FIA). Certainly, there's been no leak about it from us and I can't comment on it."
Next week the Woking-based outfit will have to appear before an extraordinary World Motor Sport Council hearing where they will have to answer charges that it lied to the stewards.
