Alonso honoured in Spain

Fernando Alonso has received the 2005 Prince of Asturias Award for Sports from H.R.H. Prince Philip of Spain. Fernando Alonso won the Drivers' Championship as youngest driver in the F1 history and he won the Constructors' title with the Mild Seven Renault F1 Team.

Prince Philip "Fernando Alonso has combined his intelligence, bravery and work ethic without loosing his head or his naturalness along the way." The Prince said that Alonso belongs to a generation of young Spanish sportsmen:
"who are at the forefront of their respective sports, and are exercising a positive influence on the habits of our society."
