Toro Rosso confirm Bourdais exit

Toro Rosso have officially confirmed that Sebastien Bourdais is leaving the team after disappointing performances during the first half of this season. The Frenchman was in his second year of F1 with Toro Rosso but struggled to match the pace of teammate Buemi.

"In Sebastien's second year with us, the partnership has not met our expectations and therefore we have decided to replace him as from the next round of the world championship, the Hungarian Grand Prix," said Tost.

Tost also claimed that the replacement driver would be announced soon, although it is widely expected that current test driver Alguersuari will take the seat for the rest of the season.
