Ferrari's chief of aero John Iley steps down
Ferrari's chief of aerodynamics, John Iley will leave the Italian team when his contract ends. It is believed that Ferrari decided not to assign him for a role in next year's design after the F60 has yet to mark its first victory for the Scuderia.
Upon discussion of that decision, both parties agreed not to extend their current agreement. The team's chief designer Nicolas Tombaszis will take on additional responsibility to fill the gap.
Iley has previously worked with Jordan and Renault before taking up the Ferrari role in 2004. He now has little less than half a season left to find himself a job before next year.
