Ferrari angry about false reports on Massa's condition
The Scuderia Ferrari is giving recent updates on the condition of their driver Felipe Massa as there were reports that Massa is fighting for his life. The team however reacted angrily to the false reports and insist that the Brazilian's emergency surgery went well. This was backed by FIA doctor Gary Hartstein.
At the moment, Felipe Massa is still in an induced coma to keep the brain from swelling after the emergency surgery to his skull yesterday. However, Gary Hartstein briefed the press in Hungary that Massa's doctors will wake him on Sunday morning before performing another brain scan.
A spokesperson of the AEK military hospital in Budapest said: "He had suffered serious, life-threatening injuries including loss of consciousness and a fracture of the forehead on the left side and a fracture on the base of the skull. After the operation he is being cared for in intensive care and now he is in stable, satisfactory condition."
