Toyota and ZF Sachs announce new partnership for 2010
Toyota Motorsport GmbH today announced an agreement with ZF Sachs for the damping and clutch specialists to become an official supplier to the Panasonic Toyota Racing Formula 1 team from the start of the 2010 season.
The agreement, which includes the 2010 season and beyond, was announced at the Nürburgring, venue for the German Grand Prix.
As an official supplier, ZF Sachs branding will be displayed in the Panasonic Toyota Racing garage and on the team trucks, as well as other branding platforms. ZF Sachs will also benefit from Toyota Motorsport’s extensive partner activation programme.
Tadashi Yamashina, Chairman and Team Principal of Toyota Motorsport, said: “The ZF Sachs Race Engineering clutch is an integral part of our TF109 car so we have already experienced ZF Sachs’ commitment to quality and performance - values both our companies share. It is particularly pleasing to already have another new partner confirmed for 2010. Even though we are in the middle of a season, the development and planning for next season has already begun. I am convinced that with the team’s hard work and the continuing support from our partners we will be stronger than ever.”
