Monteiro awarded
Portugues F1 driver, Tiago Monteiro, was awarded Rookie of the Year by Autosport Magazine. Driving for Jordan during the 2005 season, Monteiro finished 18 of the 19 races and even took third place in the US Grand Prix.
Tiago Monteiro “It was an unexpected season, really. To start in F1 is always so difficult, more than you can imagine. I had a lot to learn but I had a great team around me. I have to thank them for the reliability of the car all year. I hope to do even better next year.”
Jody Scheckter, 1979 World Champion, was to one to hand over the trophy to Tiago.
