US F1 stops work on 2010 car as they await FIA decision
Ken Anderson, Team Principal of the new US F1 Team, declared that his team made the decision to stop working on its 2010 car as they are waiting on a reply of the FIA on the question if it will be permitted to sit out the 2010 season or not. The Charlotte-based made the request as they are far behind with the development of the car.
Anderson declared to our colleagues at 'autosport': "We have applied to the FIA to hold our entry until 2011. It was supposed to be confidential, so I could not really comment on it. It seems to have leaked out though.
"We are waiting for a reply from the FIA and are working with them. In the meantime, there is nothing for the employees to do, so we have told them to stop working on the current car until we have a decision."
